Which booking channel should I use?

Choose whichever suits you — one channel is enough.

WhatsApp (English)

Usually the quickest option for international patients. Messages are answered in English, and you can attach photos. Message us on WhatsApp .

Email (English)

Useful when you want to send longer messages or attach previous orthodontic records, X-rays or insurer requirements. Write to isu.ysbaro@gmail.com .

KakaoTalk

If you already use KakaoTalk, Korea’s main messaging app, you can contact our KakaoTalk channel . It is also a convenient way to send a photo if a bracket comes loose or an aligner is lost during treatment.

Naver Booking (Korean interface)

Naver Booking lets you choose a time online. The interface is in Korean, so if you are not comfortable with it, WhatsApp or email will be easier. If you do book through Naver, you are welcome to send us a WhatsApp message as well with any details in English.

Phone

Call +82 2-592-2080 during opening hours. If you prefer to discuss things in English in writing, WhatsApp or email may be easier.

What should I send when I first get in touch?

A few details help us suggest the right appointment and avoid back-and-forth:

  • Your concern — for example, crowded teeth, a bite problem, a child’s check-up, or treatment started abroad
  • Who the appointment is for and their age, if it is for a child
  • Preferred days and times — for example, after school, evenings or Saturday
  • How long you will be in Korea , if you are here for a fixed term
  • Photos of your teeth , if you are comfortable sending them — a front view and a smile are enough
  • Previous records such as X-rays, scans or treatment notes, if you have them
  • Any insurer requirements , if you plan to claim from overseas or private insurance
  • Parking — let us know if you will drive, as parking is available

You do not need everything on this list to book. Send what you have, and we will ask for anything else we need.

What can — and can’t — be answered by message?

Messages are for scheduling and general guidance. We can explain how a first visit works, what to bring, how our hours fit your week and how treatment generally proceeds. Photos help us understand your concern and plan the right appointment.

A diagnosis, however, needs an examination. Teeth that look similar in photos can have very different roots, bone and bite relationships, so Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee will not recommend specific treatment or give a timeline until she has examined you and reviewed your records. The same applies to fees: you receive a written estimate after the examination. See fees and payment .

Booking for children

For children’s dentistry with Dr. Ho-seon Lee, board-certified pediatric dentist, please contact us for pediatric dentistry appointment times. Let us know when you book that you’d like English support — Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee and our team can help explain your child’s care in English. For children’s orthodontic checks, Dr. Lee sees your child herself. See kids’ dentistry and kids’ orthodontics .

Urgent problems

If you are already a patient and a bracket breaks, a wire pokes or an aligner is lost, message us a photo on WhatsApp or KakaoTalk and we will advise and arrange a visit. See braces and aligner problems . For a child’s dental injury, see dental injuries . Outside opening hours, go to a hospital emergency department; in a serious emergency, call 119.

After you book

We confirm your appointment and let you know what to bring. For an orthodontic consultation, allow about 60 minutes and bring your passport or Residence Card, recent X-rays or orthodontic records, and any retainers or aligners you wear. Read what happens at your first visit and, for directions, getting to Isu Station Exit 2 .

Booking FAQs

  • How quickly will you reply to a WhatsApp message?

WhatsApp is usually the quickest way for international patients to reach us. Messages sent while the clinic is closed — after closing time, on Wednesdays, Sundays or public holidays — are answered once we reopen. For anything urgent during opening hours, you can also call +82 2-592-2080.

  • Can I send photos of my teeth before booking?

Yes. A clear front view of your teeth together and a natural smile are enough to start with. Photos help us understand your concern and suggest the right appointment. They cannot replace an examination, so Dr. Lee will not diagnose or recommend treatment from photos alone.

  • Do I need a referral to book an orthodontic consultation?

No referral is needed. You can contact us directly to book a consultation with Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee. If another dentist has suggested you see an orthodontist, bring any notes or X-rays they gave you, as these can be helpful at your first visit.

  • Is it easier to use Naver Booking or WhatsApp?

If you read Korean comfortably, Naver Booking is a quick way to choose a time online. If not, WhatsApp or email is easier, because both are answered in English and you can explain your concern and attach photos or records in the same message.

  • Can I change or cancel my appointment?

Yes. Please let us know as early as you can through the channel you used to book, or by WhatsApp, email or phone. Early notice helps us offer the time to another patient and find you a new slot that fits your schedule.

This page is general information about booking. Messages are for scheduling and general guidance only and are not a diagnosis; a diagnosis and treatment plan need an examination in person. In an emergency involving breathing, heavy bleeding, a head injury or facial swelling spreading toward the eye or neck, call 119.
