Orthodontics
Straightening teeth and correcting bites at any age, planned and carried out by board-certified orthodontist Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee.
Clear aligners
Removable, nearly invisible trays, planned digitally and checked in person. Dr. Lee is a 2026 Invisalign® Purple Diamond Provider.
Braces
Fixed brackets and wires for precise control of complex tooth movements, with check-ups about every 4–6 weeks.
Kids’ orthodontics
Monitoring and, when needed, guiding the growing jaws and incoming teeth of children, often from around age 7.
Kids’ dentistry
Prevention and treatment for children’s teeth, led by board-certified pediatric dentist Dr. Ho-seon Lee. Contact us for pediatric dentistry appointment times.
Cosmetic
Porcelain veneers, both conventional and minimal-prep, for adults who want to change the shape, size or colour of front teeth.
Because veneers are planned by an orthodontist here, Dr. Lee will tell you if a short course of orthodontics first could let you keep more of your natural tooth structure.
How do I know which treatment I need?
You do not need to choose before you come in. The right treatment depends on what is happening with the teeth, roots, jaws and face, and that is what the first examination is for. For orthodontics, the first visit takes about 60 minutes and includes digital scans, X-rays or a 3D CT when needed, photographs and a clinical exam. You then receive a diagnosis, the realistic options, an estimated timeline and a written estimate. See how treatment works, step by step .
If you are comparing options in advance, these guides can help: braces vs clear aligners , Invisalign vs Angel Aligner and when a child should first see an orthodontist .
Two specialists, one clinic
Orthodontic treatment is planned and delivered by Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee , a board-certified orthodontist, from first consultation to retainers, and she also assesses tooth position before any veneer plan. Children’s dental care is led by Dr. Ho-seon Lee , a board-certified pediatric dentist. Because both work in the same clinic, a child’s dental health and bite development can be looked after together.
Fees depend on the complexity of your case, the appliance and the length of treatment, so we do not publish prices. Orthodontic treatment is generally not covered by Korea’s National Health Insurance; read how fees are set .
Questions about our treatments
Which treatments at Yonsei Baro are available for adults?
Adults can have Invisalign or Angel Aligner clear aligners; metal, ceramic or lingual braces; limited front-teeth treatment when it will not harm the overall bite; re-treatment after relapse; orthodontics before implants, crowns or bridges; retainers; and conventional or minimal-prep porcelain veneers. Orthodontic care is planned and carried out by Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee, who also reviews tooth position before veneers.
What dental care can my child receive here?
Dr. Ho-seon Lee leads check-ups, cleanings, fluoride, sealants, fillings and crowns for baby teeth, laughing-gas sedation, and care for dental injuries and urgent visits. Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee assesses bite and jaw growth and offers growth guidance, habit appliances, space maintainers, braces, Invisalign First and Angel Aligner KiD when appropriate.
Does Korean National Health Insurance cover any of these treatments?
Orthodontic treatment is generally not covered by NHIS, except treatment linked to specific congenital conditions such as cleft lip and palate. For children enrolled in NHIS, some preventive and restorative care, such as sealants on permanent molars, can be covered under certain conditions. Eligibility depends on age and circumstances, so we confirm coverage at your visit.
I’m not sure what treatment I need. Where should I start?
Send us a short description of your concern, your age or your child’s age, and any photos or previous records by WhatsApp, KakaoTalk or email. We will suggest the right first appointment: an orthodontic examination with Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee, a children’s dental visit with Dr. Ho-seon Lee, or both.
Do you offer cosmetic dentistry as well as orthodontics?
Our cosmetic service is porcelain veneers, both conventional and minimal-prep. Because veneers are planned by an orthodontist, Dr. Lee checks first whether a short course of orthodontics could align the teeth so that less enamel needs to be removed. She will explain the trade-offs, including that enamel removal cannot be reversed.

This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Treatment results and duration vary from person to person. Orthodontic treatment can cause temporary discomfort and, in some cases, root shortening, gum recession or tooth decay if oral hygiene is poor; teeth can relapse if retainers are not worn as instructed. In an emergency involving breathing, heavy bleeding, a head injury or facial swelling spreading toward the eye or neck, call 119.
