Why does an easy journey matter for orthodontic care?

Orthodontic treatment is a series of visits rather than a single appointment. Check-ups are usually about every 4–6 weeks with braces and about every 6–10 weeks with clear aligners , then retainer check-ups. A simple journey makes those visits easier to keep.

That is why we chose Isu Station. Lines 4 and 7 meet here, Exit 2 has direct underground access to our building, and parking is available if you mention it when you book. We’re open until 9 PM on Mondays and Thursdays and from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays, so visits can fit around school and work.

Who will we see?

Orthodontic care for children, teens and adults is provided by Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee , a board-certified orthodontist (Korea Ministry of Health and Welfare) who speaks fluent English and sees each patient from the first consultation to the end of treatment. Children’s dental care is led by Dr. Ho-seon Lee , a board-certified pediatric dentist. Read more about kids’ orthodontics and kids’ dentistry .

Questions about travelling to us

  • Do I need to live near Isu Station to be a patient at Yonsei Baro?

No. The neighbourhood guides on this page cover areas with simple routes to Isu Station, but anyone is welcome. Isu is served by Line 4 and Line 7, and a taxi can bring you to the door if you show the driver our Korean address. If you’re unsure of the route, message us on WhatsApp.

  • Which subway lines serve the clinic?

Isu Station is served by Line 4, where it is signed “Chongshin Univ. (Isu)”, and Line 7, where it is called Isu. Leave by Exit 2: the clinic is about a 1-minute walk, with direct underground access, on the 4th floor of Bangbae Yedain Plaza, 118 Dongjak-daero, Seocho-gu. Sadang, where Line 2 meets Line 4, is one stop away.

  • Can appointments be outside school and office hours?

Yes. We’re open from 1 PM to 9 PM on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10 AM to 7 PM on Tuesdays and Fridays (lunch 1–2 PM), and from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays. We’re closed on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays. Tell us the days that suit you when you book and we’ll suggest a time.

  • Is regular orthodontic treatment practical if we live across the river?

For many families it is, because visits are spaced out: about every 4–6 weeks with braces and about every 6–10 weeks with aligners. From Ichon, for example, Isu is two stops on Line 4 with no transfer. At your consultation, Dr. Lee can explain how often your particular plan needs visits, so you can judge the journey before you start.
