What do Ichon and Yongsan families ask us about?

Children’s orthodontics, explained in English

Dr. Lee examines the teeth, bite, roots and jaw growth, then explains whether to monitor or treat — to you and, in words they understand, to your child. See kids’ orthodontics .

Braces or aligners for teenagers?

Both can work well; the right choice depends on the bite and on how consistently aligners will be worn. Read our pages on teen orthodontics and clear aligners for teens .

Dental care for younger children

Dr. Ho-seon Lee, a board-certified pediatric dentist, leads children’s check-ups and treatment. Let us know when you book that you’d like English support — Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee and our team can help explain your child’s care in English.

Ichon & Yongsan FAQs

  • How do I get to Yonsei Baro from Ichon?

Take Line 4 from Ichon in the direction of Sadang. After Dongjak, the next stop is Chongshin Univ. (Isu) — two stops, no transfer. Leave by Exit 2 and the clinic is about a 1-minute walk, with direct underground access, on the 4th floor of Bangbae Yedain Plaza. You can also take a taxi using our Korean address.

  • We started braces before moving to Seoul — can Dr. Lee continue the treatment?

Often, yes. Bring or send your previous orthodontist’s records — X-rays, scans, photos and treatment notes — and details of the appliance you’re wearing. Dr. Lee examines you, reviews the records and explains in English how she would continue, including any changes she recommends and a written estimate.

  • Can you provide English receipts for an overseas insurance claim?

Yes. On request we provide English receipts, itemized statements, medical certificates and doctor’s letters. We don’t bill insurers directly, so you pay at the clinic and claim from your insurer. Ask your insurer in advance which documents they need, and tell us when you book.

  • Is Ichon close enough for regular orthodontic visits?

For many families, yes: it’s two stops on Line 4 with no change. Braces check-ups are usually about every 4–6 weeks and aligner check-ups about every 6–10 weeks, and we’re open until 9 PM on Mondays and Thursdays and on Saturday mornings.

  • Will someone explain my child’s dental treatment in English?

Yes. For orthodontics, Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee explains everything in English herself. For children’s dental care, which is led by Dr. Ho-seon Lee, let us know when you book that you’d like English support — Dr. Sally Chaekyung Lee and our team can help explain your child’s care in English.
